Introducing the New Look Pride in Plymouth Blog and Website

Welcome to the new combined Pride in Plymouth website and blog. In 2009, we launched the Pride in Plymouth website, shortly complemented by our own blog. Unfortunately in February 2012, our main site was hacked .

There is never a good time for this to happen but it was particularly difficult for us as we were just about to announce ‘Pride in the Park’.

However we believe that every cloud has a silver lining (Resurgam) ‘I shall rise again’, we built a temporary site to promote Pride in the Park, and worked in the background building this site.

Plymouth’s Inspirational LGBT History Archive wins National Award

In March 2011 we proudly announced the award of a Heritage Lottery grant to support the Plymouth LGBT history and archive project – Pride in Our Past officially launched on the 1st July 2011. Yesterday (27/06/12) all the hard work of many volunteers over the past year has received national recognition with an award from the Community Archives and Heritage Group who have announced the Pride in Our Past project as winners of the ‘ Most Inspirational Community Archive ‘. Announcing PRIDE in the PARK 2012

We are very proud to announce Plymouth will have a Gay Pride Celebration this year and it will be Plymouth’s first proper outdoor Pride.
