I don t know what is going on in the Vatican, or how much truth there is to the rumors of a secret sex club that led to Ratzi s resignation, but the troubles in the Church continue to mount.

Just today, the Cardinal of Scotland, Keith O Brien, the Vatican s senior official in the UK, resigned amidst ... Continue reading

I was asked volunteered by our Gay German-American Boss to do do a "Baby Shower" for a male co-worker.

History of Sociolegal LGBT+ Issues and Policing in the United Kingdom

As early as 1534 (25 Henry VIII c.6), buggery * became a matter for the secular courts instead of the ecclesiastical courts in England during the Reformation and the Renaissance periods (West and Woelke, 1997).

Parliament passed the sodomy act in the first step of justifying the dissolution of mona ... Continue reading

5 Gay Things to Watch For in the Super Bowl

5 Gay Things to Watch For in the Super Bowl Every year, Outsports editor Cyd Zeigler kindly provides a gay guide to the Super Bowl so that clueless 'mos (like me) can enjoy the game with half a clue about who's playing. But his guide also provides a few golden opportunities for gay gab. So, if you're looking to chat during the big game, here's the five gayest things to keep your eyes on (and yes, one of them involves ogling the players): 1) Which Team Uniform Is More Fabulous? - While the Ravens will wear purple uniforms with white trim, the 49ers will wear red jerseys with gold pants.

We'd immediately give the fabulous award to the gold pants, but the real question is which team rocks the stretchpants.

2) Which Team is More Pro-Gay? - While Ravens linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo says that he wants to use the Super Bowl as a way to draw attention to gay rights, Zeigler points out that the 49ers were the first NFL team to make an It Gets Better Video and that the team's owner and wife occasionally haunt The Castro to talk with gay fans. Sadly, the 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver tarnished his team's gay friendly cred with his thoughtless comment earlier this week that he wouldn't welcome a gay teammate in his locker room. But he's already begun apologizing for his dumb remark.

3) Will Beyonce Lipsynch During Halftime? - After the rumor that Beyonc lip-synched her way through the National Anthem during Obama's second inauguration, people are wondering whether she'll do the same for her halftime performance. We're betting yes, especially if she has to do a bunch of choreography. She's good, but she ain't Wonder Woman.

4) How Long Will the Harbaugh Brothers Hug? - The coaches of both teams are actually brothers. And as it is customary for the coaches of the opposing teams to hug immediately after the game, some bookie are taking bets over how long the two will embrace. They're also taking bets over what color Gatorade will be poured over the winning coach.

5) Will Ravens Defensive Back Benard Pollard Be Nakers? - If the Ravens win and we end up with Raven lockeroom interviews, you might want to keep an eye out for Benard Pollard who is known for conducting interviews in the buff.

If the 49ers win, you'll have to hope for a towel slip in the background...

or else, y'know, just enjoy the interviews for their actual content. Continue reading

49ers Cornerback Says Gay Players Are Not Welcome On His Team

49ers Cornerback Says Gay Players Are Not Welcome On His Team Just one day after several current players on the SF 49ers responded favorably to the discovery that their former teammate Kwame Harris is gay , the Niners cornerback Chris Culliver made it clear he would not welcome any gay player on his team or in the NFL. According to Yahoo Sports : Shock jock Artie Lange revealed he had interviewed Culliver at media day Tuesday and aired a segment on his show that night, where the player insisted that any gay players would not be welcome on the team. "I don't do the gay guys man," said Culliver, whose Niners play the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. "I don't do that. No, we don't got no gay people on the team, they gotta get up out of here if they do. "Can't be with that sweet stuff.

Nah can't be in the locker room man. Nah." When quizzed by Lange whether any homosexual athletes would need to keep their sexuality a secret in football, Culliver responded: "Yeah, come out 10 years later after that." With the Super Bowl XLVII only days away, Culliver s inflammatory remarks have many fans calling for official action from the 49ers ranging from Culliver s suspension to a formal apology, but as of this writing there s no confirmation the team plans to address the issue either before or after the big game on Sunday. Do you think Culliver s comments were irresponsible and if so, how do you feel the 49ers should handle this incident?
